Dan is a co-founder and the CTO of Assembrix Ltd. He is a professor of computer science at Tel Aviv University. His main field of research is computational geometry and its applications. Application areas he is currently interested in include robotics, automated manufacturing and algorithmic motion planning. Prior to joining Tel Aviv University, he was a research associate at the Computer Science Robotics Laboratory at Stanford University. Halperin was the program-committee chair of several international conferences in computational geometry, robotics and algorithmic engineering. He published over 150 papers. Dan is an IEEE Fellow and an ACM Fellow.
